Pitch

  1. The axis of a ship or vehicle running the length of the vehicle from nose (bow) to tail (stern)
  2. The act of moving the pitch axis up or down.

In an aerospace vehicle the pitch axis is controlled by moving the yoke (stick) forwards and rearwards. The pitch is chanced with thrusters (Thrust Augmentation) and or the elevator.

When the stick is pulled back the elevator and thrust augmentation push down on the tail and the nose rises.
