Terrain-driven wheeled ride prototype — 1 November 2026
A local x64 Release prototype now feeds continuous terrain-height input into the existing wheeled suspension. Off-road response is stronger than the subtle improved-road response; the in-world simulator retains its baseline. CPU regression checks and the Release build pass. Live driving acceptance and independent wheel/strut mesh articulation remain pending. This note does not announce general availability.
After live verification and release, the proposed addition to Watch Those Curbs! is:

Wheeled ground vehicles have a much rougher ride on unpaved terrain than on improved roads: expect continuous jolts and pitching or rolling as you travel. Reduce speed off-road, and allow the suspension to settle when you stop. This continuous terrain ride response is disabled in the in-world simulator.

The prototype uses a statistical terrain profile rather than collision geometry matching every visible shaded ridge. Wheel centers come from the loaded C-2, C-2A, C-98, T-120 and T-121 models; tandem wheels share the existing four corner spring states. Compare paving and open terrain at the same speed, stopping, reversing, crossing a shoulder, and entering/leaving the simulator before promoting the wording into the player article.

The server will now tell you that you have a new fare; it will also tell you which building your passenger wants to go to and in what district this building is located. Now would be a good time to check out the map of Deois for the location of different buildings and get the coordinates for the building your passenger wants to go to.
