Reusable core for vehicle specifications. Use a class template on vehicle articles; each class forwards its common parameters to this core, so shared layout and labels are maintained here.

Core vehicle · Ground · Air · Aerospace · Space

Template hierarchy

 • GroundVehicle → Vehicle + ground fields.
 • AirVehicle → Vehicle + flight fields.
 • AerospaceVehicle → AirVehicle → Vehicle, adding space fields and changing the rain-protection default.
 • SpaceVehicle → Vehicle + propulsion and space fields.

This is native template composition/parameter forwarding. No additional wiki extension is needed. When adding a new public parameter, update the relevant wrapper's forwarding list as well as its documentation. The internal extension parameter holds table rows; the optional vehicle_class parameter changes the table caption.

Rain protection

Template Default for rain_protection
GroundVehicle Wipers
AirVehicle Wipers
AerospaceVehicle Bleed air system
SpaceVehicle No rain-protection row

The A-4 Wanderer must explicitly use |rain_protection=None. To flag an unknown value instead of accepting a class default, use |rain_protection=Vehicle missing.

Example

Omitted fields remain visible as missing information.

Editing conventions

 • Omit an unknown parameter entirely. Omitted specification fields display Not specified and place the article in Category:Vehicles needing specifications. An explicitly empty assignment (for example, |weight=) overrides the default and remains blank; remove the assignment to restore the marker.
 • Use None, 0, or Not applicable only when that is known, rather than when a value has not been researched.
 • Supply units and operating conditions in the value, including CR for prices. This preserves distinctions such as kg versus MT, km/h versus m/s, and empty versus fully loaded performance. Units are not appended automatically.
 • Parameter names are case-sensitive. Standard wiki links are supported in values. Use for a literal pipe outside a wiki link.
 • Existing images can stay outside the specification table. The optional image parameter accepts a complete file link, for example |image=, including the filename extension.
 • name defaults to the article title; notes adds free-form notes below the table. These optional parameters do not generate missing-field markers.
