Territory

A territory is the highest hierarchy level of player ownership. Territories are made up of one or more colonies owned by the same player. The zone of influence for a territory grows and shrinks using the location of the associated colonies as well as the population density. Territories can overlap. When two territories owned by the same player begin to touch they will get merged together. Territories can be named (like cities) and the colonies can be named to distinguish them within the territory (so an example... Alphaville is the territory... Town Hall East is the colony). Territory naming and statistics are available through the Player Portal.
