Use Of Our Website
What information does Rise collect?
General
Personal information includes information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. An email address, IP address, account identifier, or pseudonymous player name can be personal information; it does not become anonymous merely because it omits your real name.

If you access or use our Website we may collect the following Non-Personal Information:
* Accounts and authentication: your username or player identity, email address, authentication information, account preferences, and account or session identifiers. We do not request your age or date of birth as part of Rise account registration.
* Game activity: characters, vehicles, inventory, transactions within the game, achievements, activity and connection times, and the game state needed to operate the shared world. In-game positions describe activity in the simulation, not your physical location.
* Communications and support: messages, wiki contributions, player reports, support correspondence, and attachments you choose to provide. Communications sent through our services pass through our systems and may be logged or reviewed to operate the service, resolve problems, or investigate abuse. A direct message to another player is not a promise of end-to-end encryption.
* Technical information: IP addresses, browser and operating-system information, requested pages, connection and error information, relevant hardware/software details, and diagnostic logs or crash reports. IP addresses can also reveal an approximate geographic area.
* Purchases: purchase or entitlement records and the contact, billing, or delivery information relevant to a transaction. A storefront or payment provider collects the payment information required by its checkout; what Unistellar receives depends on that transaction. Do not send payment-card details to support.
* Platform connections: identifiers and status information received through integrations such as Steam or Discord when those integrations are used.
* Website measurement: information collected by the cookies and tags described below.

We also may maintain log files which contain IP addresses. An IP address is a numeric address that may be assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider and can, in certain circumstances, amount to Personal Information. In general, we use log files to monitor traffic on our Website and to troubleshoot technical problems. In the event of user abuse of our Website, however, we may block certain IP addresses.

We use the information set out in this Section to optimize your experience of our Services. The collection of the information set out in this Section is mandatory. We are not able to properly provide you with the Services without this basic information.

We use information to provide accounts and the shared game world; verify entitlements; process transactions; maintain and update the software; investigate crashes; respond to support and privacy requests; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal obligations.

We use cookies to ensure that you get the most out of our Services. Cookies are small text files that are applied to your Internet enabled device by websites. Cookies allow us to store and then retrieve information on your computer about your visit to our Website (e.g. when you accessed the Website). We may use cookies to deliver content specific to your interest and to monitor Website usage or to simplify your visits to our Services (for example, by remembering your login details).
We also measure website and advertising performance as described below and may tell players about Rise and other services or service marks operated by Unistellar Industries, LLC.

We may also store flash cookies, also known as “local shared objects,” on your Internet enabled device if the Website uses Adobe Flash. Flash cookies are small files similar to cookies and are used to remember the Website’s settings to personalize the look and feel of the Website. Flash cookies only collect data in the aggregate. Like normal cookies, Flash cookies are represented as small text files on your internet enabled device.

Optional marketing or tracking is not made necessary for gameplay merely by describing it in this policy.

The collection of information in this Section is not mandatory. Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies whenever you visit a website. You can disable cookies or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, your web experience may be less satisfying without the use of cookies. Rise can create technical logs and crash dumps and automatically send diagnostic information to Unistellar for troubleshooting. Reports can include the game version, loaded software modules, error details, diagnostic identifiers, portions of the game process's memory, and associated connection information. Logs and memory fragments may contain player identifiers, file paths, messages, or other personal information.

Analytic Metrics Tools And Other Technologies
Crash data is stored on infrastructure we control. For technical investigation, we may also process diagnostic material through OpenAI tools, including ChatGPT and Codex. Unistellar does not use player personal information to train AI models. Using an AI tool for diagnosis is a separate activity from training a model; material supplied to a provider is handled under the applicable service terms and account settings. See OpenAI's privacy information.

We may also use its own or third-party proprietary analytic metrics tools and other analytics technologies to collect the information referred to in this Privacy Policy. We may use such technology to deliver content specific to your interest and to monitor usage of our Services.
Contact [mailto:support@risetvp.com support@risetvp.com] with questions about a report, a deletion request, or help disabling automatic crash-dump uploads. Disabling dump uploads does not disable local crash capture or all other game and error logging.

The collection of the information set out in this Section is not mandatory, however, we cannot operate the Game properly without collecting this information. If you do not agree with this data collection and storage, we will need to deactivate your account and access to the Game.

Account Registration And Commercial Transaction
Steam and Discord integrations can publish gameplay or activity status to those platforms, such as the activity you are performing or your location within the game. The client can also send a connected Discord user identifier to our game server. Platform settings affect what other people can see; the platform's own privacy notice governs its independent processing.

Messages and promotion of Unistellar services
The collection of the information set out in this Section 3.3 is not mandatory, however, we cannot operate the Game properly without collecting this information. If you do not agree with this data collection and storage, we will need to deactivate your account and access to the Game.

Misuse
You can ask us to stop promotional email by contacting [mailto:support@risetvp.com support@risetvp.com], or use an unsubscribe option where one is provided. This does not prevent necessary account, transaction, security, or requested support messages. We will use this information to comply with applicable law and enforce our rights under civil and penal law against the respective users. We will store this information until the suspicion is reasonably refuted or for as long as is required or permitted by applicable law.

The collection of the information set out in this Section is mandatory. We may not be able to enforce our rights without such information.
* Account and game records: records support the account, persistent game world, entitlements, and transactions. Closing an account or requesting deletion requires review of what can be deleted, de-identified, or retained for a specific lawful purpose.
* Logs and server-held diagnostics: these support troubleshooting and security investigations. Server-held crash reports currently have no fixed automatic age-based deletion period. Contact support to request review or deletion of a report.
* Local crash files: the current client normally removes successfully uploaded local crash records after seven days and undelivered local records after 30 days during its cleanup process. These are limits on the local crash queue, not promises about server archives, other logs, backups, or a diagnostic provider's copies.
* Public wiki contributions and backups: deleting an account does not necessarily erase public revision history or every backup immediately. Retained material remains subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Will You Share My Information With Third Parties?
You may ask us about retention or request deletion at [mailto:support@risetvp.com support@risetvp.com]. We will assess the request under applicable law rather than treating retention as an unlimited right to keep information.

Other than as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy, We will never share your Personal Information with third parties without your consent.
Children and parents
We may share your Personal Information with:
Rise has an ESRB Teen rating and regional content ratings. Ratings describe content; they are not a substitute for privacy protections. We do not ask for ages or dates of birth during Rise account registration, and Rise does not currently impose its own minimum-age account gate. Storefront age rules still apply.

Third party service providers under our control and monitoring where such disclosure is necessary or helpful to enable us to provide you with any of our Services and such third parties are contractually bound to process your Personal Information and/or Non-Personal Information under the same restrictions as are set forth in this Privacy Policy;
A parent or guardian must agree to the EULA for a minor as it requires. That agreement alone is not verifiable parental consent to collect a child's personal information where privacy law requires such consent.
third party payment providers which are bound by strict privacy policies to carry out payment transactions with you;
any person to whom disclosure is necessary to enable us to enforce our rights under this Privacy Policy or under our Terms of Service; and/or
any authority to which we are obliged by law to disclose your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information (e.g. tax authorities for commercial transactions).
We will not disclose your Personal Information to anybody else without your explicit approval.

How Do You Protect My Personal Information?
Parents who believe we hold personal information about their child should contact [mailto:support@risetvp.com support@risetvp.com] to request information, review, or deletion, or to raise a concern about further collection. We may need proportionate verification of the requester's authority.

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards, to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and in storage.
If we learn that we have collected a child's information without parental consent required by law, we will take the required steps to stop the affected collection or use and delete the information, or obtain valid consent where legally permitted. Limited collection and not asking for a birth date do not remove child-privacy obligations.

The Personal Information that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us or by data processors appointed by us to undertake processing on our behalf. Your Personal Information will be stored on servers which may be owned by third parties such as Amazon Web Services, Inc. (“AWS”), Google, Inc. (“Google”), Microsoft Corp. (“MS”) and/or their respective affiliates all of which are for purposes of data protection under contractual control by us and/or CIG. Any Personal Information that you provide to us in accordance with this Privacy Policy will be adequately protected by this Privacy Policy, our contract with CIG and Google, AWS, MS or any other third party service providers which implement the EU model clauses for data protection.
Your choices and privacy rights
We have implemented physical, electronic and managerial procedures in order to help safeguard and prevent unauthorized access, use, alteration, modification and/or disclosure of your Personal Information. Although we use reasonable efforts to safeguard the security of your Personal Information, transmissions made on or through the Internet and Personal Information stored on our servers or the servers of third parties that we use are vulnerable to attack and cannot be guaranteed to be secure. In addition, submissions made via e-mail are not protected by encryption and are vulnerable to interception during transmission.
Use the Player Portal to review available account settings, including email and password controls. For account closure, access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, email [mailto:support@risetvp.com support@risetvp.com]. You do not need to create a new account to make a privacy request.

If you have any questions about security on our Website, please contact us.
Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to:
* obtain access to information and a copy in a usable format;
* correct inaccurate information or request deletion;
* restrict certain processing;
* object to processing, including direct marketing;
* withdraw consent for processing based on consent, without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing;
* opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
* appeal a denied request where an appeal right applies; and
* complain to a privacy regulator.

Review, Correction Of Your Information, Requesting Removal From Mailing Lists And Deactivating Your Account
Rights can have legal exceptions. We will explain our response and any applicable refusal or extension and respond within the period required by law. We will use verification proportionate to the request and will not impose identity verification on an opt-out request where the law prohibits it. Authorized representatives can contact us; proof of authority may be needed.

You can correct, update or delete your Account information at any time by logging on our Website and navigating to “My Account,” “View My Profile” or other Account settings. Should you be unable to log in your Account, please contact us. We will be happy to review, update or remove information as appropriate. If you wish to be removed from a mailing list or to have your account deactivated, please contact us.
Where applicable law recognizes a browser opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, that signal must be respected. The current page code does not provide a site-wide control for the tags listed above. You can also submit a sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising opt-out request to support; an email request does not by itself block third-party scripts in your browser.

User Generated Content, Online Forums, Blogs And Profiles
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, your European data-protection authority, or another competent regulator. You do not have to contact us first where the law allows a direct complaint. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

You may choose to disclose information about yourself in the course of contributing user generated content to the Website or in public online chat rooms, blogs, message boards, user “profiles” for public view or in similar forums on our Website. Information that you disclose in any of these forums is public information, and there is no expectation of privacy or confidentiality there.
Security and international processing
You should be aware that any Personal Information you submit in the course of these public activities can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages in breach of our Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the Personal Information you choose to submit in these forums.
Our infrastructure includes servers under our control and the US-hosted wiki described above. External providers may process information in the United States or other locations used for their services. Privacy laws can differ between countries. Contact us for information about a particular recipient, processing location, or the safeguards applicable to a transfer. Mandatory transfer and privacy protections continue to apply.

If you post a video, image or photo on any of our Website for public view you should be aware that these may be viewed, collected, copied and/or used by other users without your consent. We are not responsible for the videos, images or photos that you choose to submit to the Website.
We use technical and administrative measures to protect information, but no system or transmission is guaranteed secure. Protect your account credentials, use a unique password, and avoid sending sensitive information in ordinary support messages. Keep in mind that support correspondence, diagnostic reports, and public contributions can contain personal information.

If you visit a third party website that is linked to one of our Services, you should consult that third party website’s privacy policy before providing any personal information.
We will update the date above when this notice changes. We will give additional notice of material changes where required and obtain consent when a new use requires it. A policy update does not retroactively supply missing consent or waive your rights.

We may receive some of the information that you submit to any third party website that you access from an advertisement contained on any of our Services. Both we and the owner or operator of that third party website will be the data controller in respect of any such information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Unistellar Industries, LLC ("Unistellar," "we," or "us") handles personal information for Rise: The Vieneo Province, its launcher and online game services, the Rise wiki, the Player Portal, and related support.

A privacy notice explains our practices; simply visiting a page, playing Rise, or accepting the EULA is not consent to every use of personal information. Any consent required by law must be obtained separately.

Who is responsible, and how can I contact you?

Unistellar Industries, LLC is responsible for the personal information described here.

Unistellar Industries, LLC

What information does Rise collect?

Personal information includes information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. An email address, IP address, account identifier, or pseudonymous player name can be personal information; it does not become anonymous merely because it omits your real name.

 • Accounts and authentication: your username or player identity, email address, authentication information, account preferences, and account or session identifiers. We do not request your age or date of birth as part of Rise account registration.
 • Game activity: characters, vehicles, inventory, transactions within the game, achievements, activity and connection times, and the game state needed to operate the shared world. In-game positions describe activity in the simulation, not your physical location.
 • Communications and support: messages, wiki contributions, player reports, support correspondence, and attachments you choose to provide. Communications sent through our services pass through our systems and may be logged or reviewed to operate the service, resolve problems, or investigate abuse. A direct message to another player is not a promise of end-to-end encryption.
 • Technical information: IP addresses, browser and operating-system information, requested pages, connection and error information, relevant hardware/software details, and diagnostic logs or crash reports. IP addresses can also reveal an approximate geographic area.
 • Purchases: purchase or entitlement records and the contact, billing, or delivery information relevant to a transaction. A storefront or payment provider collects the payment information required by its checkout; what Unistellar receives depends on that transaction. Do not send payment-card details to support.
 • Platform connections: identifiers and status information received through integrations such as Steam or Discord when those integrations are used.
 • Website measurement: information collected by the cookies and tags described below.

We receive information from you, from your use of the services, and from connected platforms, storefronts, or payment services where relevant to the feature or transaction. We do not require every category of information for every activity. Authentication and game-state information are necessary for online play; purchases, public contributions, and optional communications involve additional information.

Why do you use it?

We use information to provide accounts and the shared game world; verify entitlements; process transactions; maintain and update the software; investigate crashes; respond to support and privacy requests; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal obligations.

We also measure website and advertising performance as described below and may tell players about Rise and other services or service marks operated by Unistellar Industries, LLC.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, purposes must have an appropriate legal basis: providing a requested service or transaction, meeting a legal obligation, pursuing legitimate interests such as security and troubleshooting while respecting individual rights, or obtaining consent where required. Optional marketing or tracking is not made necessary for gameplay merely by describing it in this policy.

What happens when the game crashes?

Rise can create technical logs and crash dumps and automatically send diagnostic information to Unistellar for troubleshooting. Reports can include the game version, loaded software modules, error details, diagnostic identifiers, portions of the game process's memory, and associated connection information. Logs and memory fragments may contain player identifiers, file paths, messages, or other personal information.

Contact support@risetvp.com with questions about a report, a deletion request, or help disabling automatic crash-dump uploads. Disabling dump uploads does not disable local crash capture or all other game and error logging.

What becomes visible to other people?

Other players may see your player name, in-game actions, public messages, rankings, and content you publish. Wiki contributions and revision history can remain publicly accessible. Avoid posting information you do not want others to copy or share.

Steam and Discord integrations can publish gameplay or activity status to those platforms, such as the activity you are performing or your location within the game. The client can also send a connected Discord user identifier to our game server. Platform settings affect what other people can see; the platform's own privacy notice governs its independent processing.

A link to a third-party site takes you to a service with its own practices. That does not give the third party a general right to receive your Rise account information.

Does Unistellar Industries, LLC sell or share personal information?

Unistellar Industries, LLC does not sell player account details or provide player contact lists to other businesses for their own independent marketing. Cross-promotion of other services or service marks operated by Unistellar is marketing by the same company.

Some information is nevertheless disclosed to others to provide services or through website tracking:

 • Hosting and technical providers: the Rise wiki is hosted by ICDSoft in Boston, United States. The game and Player Portal operate on a dedicated server under our control. Diagnostic archives are held on infrastructure under our control, with the AI-processing exception described above.
 • Platforms and transaction providers: Steam, Discord, and the relevant storefront or payment service process information for the features or transactions you use.
 • Diagnostic providers: OpenAI may process diagnostic material as described above.
 • Website measurement and advertising providers: Google and Meta receive information through the tools described below. These disclosures may constitute "sharing" or a "sale" under some privacy laws even without a payment for the information; they should not be confused with selling player contact lists.
 • Legal and safety disclosures: information may be disclosed when legally required or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, protect people's rights, or handle a legal claim, subject to applicable law.

Cookies, browser storage, and advertising tags

The wiki and portal use browser storage for functions such as authentication and preferences. The portal stores sign-in/session information in local browser storage. Clearing or blocking necessary storage can sign you out or prevent features from working.

Website measurement and advertising:

 • The Player Portal includes Google Analytics to measure visits and use.
 • The wiki includes a Google Ads tag and conversion events associated with downloads or storefront links.
 • The wiki also includes a Meta Pixel that reports page visits.

These tools can send information such as the page visited, browser/device details, IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers to their providers. Provider settings, your choices, and the applicable terms affect how that information is used. See Google's information for partner sites and Meta's cookie information.

You can use browser controls to restrict cookies and third-party requests and use privacy controls offered by the providers. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers; it does not disable every advertising technology. Blocking third-party requests may be needed in addition to blocking cookies.

Consent required for optional cookies or similar technology must be obtained before use. Reading this policy or continuing to browse does not supply that consent. The current sites load the tags listed above; use the browser and provider controls described here to restrict them.

Messages and promotion of Unistellar services

We may send messages needed to administer an account, deliver a requested service, address security, or respond to you. We may also promote Rise and other Unistellar services, subject to applicable marketing rules and your choices.

You can ask us to stop promotional email by contacting support@risetvp.com, or use an unsubscribe option where one is provided. This does not prevent necessary account, transaction, security, or requested support messages. The portal preference for email instead of a player message board is a delivery preference; it is not blanket consent to every marketing use.

How long is information kept?

Different records have different purposes. Retention decisions take account of whether an account or requested service remains active, whether information is still needed to investigate a fault or dispute, security needs, legal recordkeeping requirements, and deletion requests. We do not promise that every category is erased immediately when an account closes.

 • Account and game records: records support the account, persistent game world, entitlements, and transactions. Closing an account or requesting deletion requires review of what can be deleted, de-identified, or retained for a specific lawful purpose.
 • Logs and server-held diagnostics: these support troubleshooting and security investigations. Server-held crash reports currently have no fixed automatic age-based deletion period. Contact support to request review or deletion of a report.
 • Local crash files: the current client normally removes successfully uploaded local crash records after seven days and undelivered local records after 30 days during its cleanup process. These are limits on the local crash queue, not promises about server archives, other logs, backups, or a diagnostic provider's copies.
 • Public wiki contributions and backups: deleting an account does not necessarily erase public revision history or every backup immediately. Retained material remains subject to applicable privacy obligations.

You may ask us about retention or request deletion at support@risetvp.com. We will assess the request under applicable law rather than treating retention as an unlimited right to keep information.

Children and parents

Rise has an ESRB Teen rating and regional content ratings. Ratings describe content; they are not a substitute for privacy protections. We do not ask for ages or dates of birth during Rise account registration, and Rise does not currently impose its own minimum-age account gate. Storefront age rules still apply.

A parent or guardian must agree to the EULA for a minor as it requires. That agreement alone is not verifiable parental consent to collect a child's personal information where privacy law requires such consent.

Parents who believe we hold personal information about their child should contact support@risetvp.com to request information, review, or deletion, or to raise a concern about further collection. We may need proportionate verification of the requester's authority.

If we learn that we have collected a child's information without parental consent required by law, we will take the required steps to stop the affected collection or use and delete the information, or obtain valid consent where legally permitted. Limited collection and not asking for a birth date do not remove child-privacy obligations.

Your choices and privacy rights

Use the Player Portal to review available account settings, including email and password controls. For account closure, access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, email support@risetvp.com. You do not need to create a new account to make a privacy request.

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to:

 • obtain access to information and a copy in a usable format;
 • correct inaccurate information or request deletion;
 • restrict certain processing;
 • object to processing, including direct marketing;
 • withdraw consent for processing based on consent, without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing;
 • opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
 • appeal a denied request where an appeal right applies; and
 • complain to a privacy regulator.

Rights can have legal exceptions. We will explain our response and any applicable refusal or extension and respond within the period required by law. We will use verification proportionate to the request and will not impose identity verification on an opt-out request where the law prohibits it. Authorized representatives can contact us; proof of authority may be needed.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, your European data-protection authority, or another competent regulator. You do not have to contact us first where the law allows a direct complaint. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Security and international processing

Our infrastructure includes servers under our control and the US-hosted wiki described above. External providers may process information in the United States or other locations used for their services. Privacy laws can differ between countries. Contact us for information about a particular recipient, processing location, or the safeguards applicable to a transfer. Mandatory transfer and privacy protections continue to apply.

We use technical and administrative measures to protect information, but no system or transmission is guaranteed secure. Protect your account credentials, use a unique password, and avoid sending sensitive information in ordinary support messages. Keep in mind that support correspondence, diagnostic reports, and public contributions can contain personal information.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date above when this notice changes. We will give additional notice of material changes where required and obtain consent when a new use requires it. A policy update does not retroactively supply missing consent or waive your rights.
