From Rise: The Vieneo Province

Processed Storage expansions are critical infrastructure that provide secure storage for the seven different commodities used in colony operations. While their appearance varies—looking like grain silos for Farmsteads and large fuel tanks for airport facilities (also known as a fuel farms) — their function remains the same: protecting valuable resources from loss and ensuring continued production.

Function

Storage capacity is a limiting factor in colony management. While seed buildings such as the Farmstead provide a small amount of secure storage, it is insufficient for large-scale operations. Any commodities that exceed secure storage capacity must be stored outdoors, which leads to significant risks:

  • Weather Damage: Rain can wash away unprotected resources.
  • Spoilage: Perishable commodities will degrade over time if left outside.
  • Theft: Unsecured resources are vulnerable to being stolen.

Importance of Processed Storage

If a colony runs out of Processed Storage, all production and harvesting operations will cease until additional storage is built. This makes it essential to expand storage capacity in parallel with production growth to prevent bottlenecks and resource loss.

Strategic Considerations

  • Plan for storage expansion early to avoid production halts.
  • Keep critical resources secured to prevent spoilage and theft.
  • Balance production rates with storage capacity to maintain efficiency.

By investing in Processed Storage, players can safeguard their commodities, maintain smooth operations, and ensure the long-term stability of their colony.
