These can be entered manually into the [[organizer]] using latitude and longitude [[coordinate]]s or can be stored from a [[:Category:Vehicles|vehicle]]'s position.  Waypoints are stored locally on the user's computer (as opposed to server-side), in a file named [[waypoints.dat]].  As a result, waypoints may be read and edited by external programs (such as [[User:riot|Riot]]'s [http://rise.unistellar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=497 Vieneo mapper] and [http://rise.unistellar.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=500 Deois mapper]), and shared between players in bulk.

These can be entered manually into the organizer using latitude and longitude coordinates or can be stored from a vehicle's position. Waypoints are stored locally on the user's computer (as opposed to server-side), in a file named waypoints.dat.

Manually entered waypoints will be placed at 0 km MSL.
