Inventory can be carried on your person (limited to a smaller amount) or aboard a vehicle. Some items can be installed at colonies, such as the Uplink; others are used on your person, such as the First Aid Kit, or installed in a vehicle, such as the JVC Radio.

Inventory has weight and may be expended through use or damaged. An item can have more than one acquisition source. Check its Source field or section for the named location and any eligibility limits.

O-4 salvage

The special-item pool contains Sunglasses, Binoculars, First Aid Kit, Backpack, Carton of Cigarettes, Night Vision Goggles, Uplink, Polaroid, Fuzer, Sinker, Longarm and ATM. These finds enter the salvage territory's inventory; use the site's Inventory Management menu to load available items into a vehicle.

The Search action must produce a modified roll greater than 30 to qualify for a special-item attempt. The result remains random and inventory capacity can prevent a find from being added. Candy canes and E-11 upgrade vouchers are not in this salvage pool.
