ARJ is the IATA container code designation for a standardized high-volume rectangular cargo unit measuring approximately 16x8x8 feet. In the Rise universe, ARJ containers are used extensively for cargo, passenger transport, fuel, and munitions.

The ARJ-Class Container

ARJ Container

There are 692 ARJ containers in use throughout the Yonmaran System as of March 31, 2250.

These containers are certified under the IATA ULD system as an ARJ configuration:

A – Certified aircraft-compatible container

R – Base dimensions of 96 inches × 196 inches

J – Rectangular, high-volume configuration

ARJ containers feature a steel frame construction with a weather-resistant, marine-grade interior. An engineer certified the sturdy design can withstand wind velocities of up to 177 kph while partially full.

How to Use them in RISE

What kind of ARJs are there?

There are five (5) primary types of ARJs:

  • Cargo
  • Passenger - It can hold 20 passengers and provide them safety and comfort for travel (statistical weight of 102.5 kg per passenger with carry-on baggage)
  • Auxiliary Fuel - It can hold roughly 17,000 kg of refined Iagreous fuel (burns about 1 kg per day for containment, warning beacon, etc)
  • Munitions - Can hold ordinance of up to 8 Longarm missiles

Where can I buy ARJs?

Rusty's in Deois sells all five ARJ types: passenger, aft-loading cargo, top-loading cargo, auxiliary fuel, and munitions. At Rusty's, choose the purchase menu, then the containers option.

ARJs can also be bought at CPOC. New ARJ purchases require the location to have fabricated material, foodstuffs, and refined fuel available. Check the in-game purchase menu for current prices.

Bring a vehicle with an empty ARJ-compatible cargo bay or cargo bed, and open the bay doors if fitted. The purchased ARJ is loaded directly into your vehicle. This also allows players with a suitable ground vehicle to buy ARJs at Rusty's without travelling to CPOC.

You can also look for ARJs flagged for repossession, open for salvage title, or available for auction at VBay.

Where can I rent ARJs?

Rusty's rents the following ARJ types, subject to available stock:

  • Aft-loading cargo
  • Top-loading cargo
  • Passenger

Use Rusty's rental counter, choose a new rental, then ARJs, select the type, and enter the number of days. Auxiliary fuel and munitions ARJs are available to purchase but are not offered on Rusty's ARJ rental menu.

As with purchases, you need an empty compatible bay or cargo bed and open bay doors if fitted; the rental is loaded directly into your vehicle. Rentals require a credit score of at least 670 and enough cash to pay for the rental period plus any outstanding rental balance. Check the in-game menu for current daily rates.

  • Menu options Shift F to transfer fuel it it Shift C to transfer cash
  • Weight
  • Destination

What kind of vehicles can load ARJs and how many in each?

  • T-120 Steerhead - 1 Bay
  • T-19 Stratomaster - 1 Bay
  • A-4 Wanderer - 1 Bay
  • W-6 Manx - 3 Bays
  • E-10 Saint - 6 Bays
